No Comparable Checks

Home Appraisals, Inc. has initiated a no comparable check policy. This allows us to concentrate on the type of clients we want to work with. It also allows us to provide better service to clients who are just interested in finding out what a property is worth. I believe that this policy will allow us to be more efficient and increase profitability. This also ensures that we stay HVCC compliant.

Current market conditions

Business continues to come in at a record pace. This is a healthy sign for the real estate market. Here at Home Appraisals, Inc. we are seeing an increase in the amount of purchase transactions, Reverse Mortgage transactions and FHA refinancing. These are all signs that the buyer and seller are getting closer together in what they consider a fair market value. It also means that the banks are making funds more available for purchases, refinances and reverse mortgages.

Record Revenue at Home Appraisals, Inc.

Home Appraisals, Inc. recorded a 73% increase in revenue for the month of April 2009 compared to April 2008. This was attributed in part to the strategic partnerships with over 20 certified appraisers providing appraisals for the entire state of Florida. This also shows a sign that the credit markets are loosing up and housing prices have declined to a point where more buyers are coming into the market.

HVCC

HVCC has gone into effect on May 1, 2009. However lenders can still order FHA appraisals directly with Appraisers. Since most loans at this time are FHA we are hoping that this new regulation will not adversely effect our business.
